This was epic. I was the choreography director for the shoot for the legendary band Grateful Dead for their show at the Las Vegas Sphere, a mighty venue with a planetarium style display! We shot in 360 specialist camera and was a great learning experience as a choreographer! This video is for a taste but one has to see it at the venue!

In this short film, dancer and choreographer, Saju Hari, explains how The Body Recall project came about following the Covid-19 pandemic. For three weeks in February/ March 2022, Saju worked in the studio alongside dance artists Tia Hockey, Deepraj Singh, Subhash Viman Gorania and Harrison Claxton, on choreographic research and development, exploring ideas related to lockdown. These ideas related to the compression we felt during the lockdown as well as the conflict between 'my space' and 'your space'. They all had different experiences of the pandemic but the common factor was the body... Bodies alone. Bodies distant. Bodies in a line. Bodies to be avoided. Bodies covered. Bodies disobedient. Bodies flattened on screen. Bodies of the dead. The Body Recall.
